With support from the Regina Public Interest Research Group the Psychology Students Association is able to help offset textbook costs.
RATIONALE: This award is for undergraduate Psychology majors who need financial support and access to funds to aid in their education and potential growth in the discipline.
AWARD STRUCTURE: The Psychology Student Association Textbook Microgrant Program will run in the Fall and Winter semesters.
METHOD: Undergraduate psychology majors apply online to the PSA for a microgrant of $50 for a textbook that costs $50 or more for a psychology class. Applications are limited to one application per semester. Recipients are to be selected at random by an impartial, non-PSA party after the application closes.
Application period will run each semester until the end of grade-of-W drop period (e.g., March 15th, 2021, for the W2021 semester)
Proof of purchase of a textbook associated with the class will be required in the form of a screenshot or photo of receipt, attached to the application via upload. It does not need to be new, bought from the University, or a physical textbook.
SELECTION OF RECIPIENTS: The 15 recipients will be selected randomly from the complete pool of applicants for the given semester. This random selection will be done by the psychology faculty liaison to the PSA to ensure impartial results.
