Sarah Nakonechny (she/they) is a fourth year psychology and honours philosophy student supervised by Dr Simard-Smith. Sarah is incredibly active on campus as the Opinions Editor for the Carillon, an executive of the Luther University Students’ Association, a mental health advocate with the Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan, the Administrator of the University of Regina Undergraduate Research Journal, and a Multi-faith Peer Coordinator. They also work in the Depression, Cognition, and Culture lab and the Child Evidence lab. You may also find her TAing Psychology and Philosophy courses as well. Areas of psychology that Sarah are interested in include forensic and abnormal psychology, specifically convicted individuals with trauma disorders or psychological illnesses. When not running half of the University, they enjoy spending time with their rather moody cat, Harley.
